Thomas and Tommy are what you want in mechanics. They were recommended by a friend who is a car enthusiast and the recommendation was on target. The took my old Tahoe that seemed to have 100 different problems and turned it into a safe reliable vehicle that I was able to give to my son with complete confidence. It took a while as they troubleshot the different issues but every step of the way their communication was excellent. That says a lot in this day and age.

Picone’s is without a doubt, the BEST mechanic shop in the Wilmington area. My whole family uses them exclusively. They are honest, and stand by their work. Their prices are not cheap, but they are not super expensive, I feel like they charge a fair price for the work they do, and again they stand by their work. Mr. Picone and Thomas have done everything from tires and brakes to replacing a motor for me, and I have never had a problem with their work. The only downside is they are constantly busy, so it may take a little longer than other shops for your repair to be done. But there is a reason for that. They are the best. Point blank period.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! I had a job in Greenville and my car had a flat. They were the only ones open at 7:45am on Castle Hayne Rd. and they fixed my tire in 10 minutes!! Owner Thomas Picone was there and made sure it was done quickly so I could be on my way. Very reasonable price- definitely would go back! Great service!

Tommy is a stand up guy. Really gave me a great price and did a fantastic job on a timing belt replacement on my Acura TL. This is the only place in Wilmington I go for tires. The prices are way better than the competition and the owner and mechanics are very friendly. I highly recommend them and make the extra drive just to go there. I live near UNCW so there are closer options, but these guys rock!

My Jeep YJ was having issues finding gears. Took it to Picone on Friday morning, and they had it diagnosed (master cylinder was bad) and fixed within 4 hours. Their service is so outstanding they they delivered my Jeep to my house that is 40 miles away. Highly recommend Picone Automotive.

I had a nagging vibration and noise in my Nissan Frontier pickup truck at highway speeds, and had taken it into two other garages, that could not diagnose the problem. Tommy inspected it, and identified the problem, and had it fixed at a very reasonable price, all in one morning. He replaced the universal joints on the front axle, and it runs smooth as silk at highway speeds.
